Trump Staycation

Hello Loves!

TIFF is over and I am under the weather. Ugh! As I snuggle up under a cozy blanket I just purchased from Homesense (sshh don’t tell Sameer), I can’t help but day dream about last weeks staycation at the beautiful Trump International Hotel And Tower Toronto.

I arrived to this sky-scraping location last Wednesday as a little treat and a location to get ready in for the Nordstrom Gala, also I was well aware that there would be alcohol consumed at said event and I do NOT condone any form of drinking and driving. Anyway, before I even stepped foot out of the car I was treated like a queen, every single staff member was incredibly kind and accommodating… they were truly conscious to make my stay a perfect one.

I was shown up to my gorgeous one bedroom suite by a member of the Attache team, what’s wonderful about this team is that they are the ultimate personal VIP concierge but even better… they are able create anything you want on your stay. They research the person before they arrive to figure out exactly what they like and maybe would need during their stay. So if your thinking of hosting a birthday party or want to propose, I highly recommend requesting the help of an Attache member to help bring your ideas to life. Anyway, sorry I’m rambling. Back to the room. I am not often speechless but upon entering this room for once in my life I was mute. It was so incredible, everything you would want for a glamorous night away. I was also greeted by a selection of cakes, chocolates and BALLOONS!! How did they know I am OBSESSED with balloons!! But what blew me away the most was the absolute attention to detail that is evident throughout the entire hotel. The designers of this hotel wanted to give the feeling of this being like home, and I totally got that feeling… if my home was a snazzy NYC condo. From the crown moulding that is reflected throughout the hallways, the cherry blossom detailing spotted in various locations, to the tiniest of Hermes inspired pattern that is captured on carpeting, air duct covers, and even doors. There is a fabulous synergy to this hotel, the transitions from room to room is pure perfection.

Anyway, as lovely as the look of this hotel was/is lets face it, I was here to sleep.. and eat. Sorry not sorry. Let me tell you, firstly, the food is fantastic! I actually got the opportunity to feast at their onsite America restaurant…, which please don’t let the name fool you, this is no greasy burger joint. I chomped down on a oyster starter, ahi tuna on jambalaya main, a passionfruit tart for dessert and a refreshing prosecco to polish it off… m m m delicious. We were also spoiled with an in room breakfast fit for kings, with waffles, eggs, toast, potatoes, bacon and fresh juices… it was a foodies dream. But now to the most important feature of this entire accommodation, the bed. After a full night out, and drinking a few to many glasses of champagne I was exhausted!! All I wanted was sleep! This was probably the best bed ever!!!! I slept like a baby. The beds just ate you up, totally Goldie Locks approved… although I didn’t have the chance to sleep for very long (we got in late and were up early) it was a really lovely deep sleep. I haven’t had a sleep that good in years!

This was the absolute perfect mid week break, it was a great opportunity for Sameer and I to rekindle and relax (we still haven’t gone on our honeymoon yet… so this was a nice little bit of time together). I had such a fabulous time, so much so that I am planning to come back in the next few months… but this time I am leaving Sameer at home… it’s going to be a GIRLS NIGHT OUT!

    Wow, the hotel service does indeed appear to be amazing! Regardless of what one may think of Trump personally, we have to give it to him that his hotels are generally magnificent in service, the Attache team sound amazing! I’m sure you felt like a queen, girl, and I’m glad you enjoyed your stay! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you’re having a great day so far and that you’re feeling better!

      I totally agree with you here, and to be honest he actually doesn’t own this location it was sold last year. But not going to lie I did struggle with that a little…. but the big but it was FANTASTIC and I cannot fault the management, they are running an amazing ship

    I love staycation 🙂 I went on one with my boyfriend last year, and it was so nice to be somewhere else so we could relax together.
    I’m glad you and your boyfriend had a nice stay 🙂 Hhahah you went there to sleep and eat :p
