NYC Day 2

Hello Loves,

My NYC diary continues into day 2… and I have much to tell, so lets get started!

– Day 2 –

On the morning of day 2 we actually switched hotels to INK48 a Kimpton Hotel

(653 11th Avenue at 48th),

INK48 is a lovely quirky boutique hotel, located in the ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ area. ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ is full of unique, highly recommended restaurants. Oh and view is AMAZING!

After checking in and dropping our bags off, we decided to get a start on the day. It was Sameer’s 26th birthday and I needed to hurry up and get him a birthday drink!

We walked our butts into Soho (which is about a 1/2 hr walk). I highly recommend walking over cabbing or Ubering in this city, there are so many amazing places you will find along the way.

We stumbled into ‘The Cupping Room’ (359 W Broadway) which has great reviews… it looks tiny from the outside but opens into this lovely space, and the food… delicious.

After a loooong day of walking, so much so that I cut my foot! We decided to head back towards the hotel to catch the sunset.

We were just in time to catch the sunset over Hudson river

Then it was time to head back to INK48 and get ready for the night.

We ate at Hell’s Kitchen (754 Ninth Avenue), the food was superb. The decor has this sexy romantic ambiance… perfect for a special birthday night out.

We ended our night on the rooftop of INK48 at the ‘Press Lounge’, it is open to anyone over the age of 21 (with valid ID)… and they really check ID’s!

Note: Drinks are very expensive so if you are a wine person order the carafe of wine, I believe its about $25 and it’s enough for 2 people.

It was a perfect way to end the most amazing day.
