I don’t know who needs to hear this, but taking breaks as a mum is so important. It’s kind of essential for your mental health.
I know the mum guilt keeps most of us from taking this incredibly crucial time, heck she’s creeping in on me whilst I write this blog post. But, she needs to take a back seat for a moment. Easier said than done, I know.
But, taking that time allows you to fill your tank back up, it allows you to show up as a better parent, and even a better spouse. It doesn’t mean you have to go far, it could be as simple as enjoying your fave Starbucks and podcast in the car.
A break doesn’t mean you don’t love your children, a break means you not only love your children but yourself too. It allows you to clear your mind and come back as a better parent and self. Take a break, before you break.
