Loews

Hello Loves!

With the ever changing Canadian weather playing with my heart strings, I have found myself day dreaming of a happier time. My time in Miami. To end our girls weekend in the city where the heat is on (Will Smith, Miami reference… obvi) we were welcomed with smiling faces at the fabulous Loews Miami Beach Hotel!! Welcome to Miami!!

Location:

Loews is located right where you wanna be. Food, fun, shopping, beach, pools… it’s all there and literally in walking distance. No need for UBER (unless you accidentally drink one too many cerveza’s under the boiling sun… those clouds are deceiving). But there isn’t really much of a need to even leave the resort, everything you could possibly want is right there for you!

Staff:

I can’t even begin to explain the incredible people that work in this establishment. Every single person was so amazing, accommodating and just really kind.  I am even happy to say that I have left this vacation with a few new friends! What?? Yeah! There are a couple of people that I need to give a holla at… Shan (VIP management), she started our stay off with a bang! This girl made us feel so at home, so welcome… she is not only absolutely incredible at her job (she knows what she’s doing) but is also a really cool down to earth girl. Jay (pool management) this guy is again incredible at his job… he runs the show down by the pool… he is one busy guy! But still found the time to make sure we experienced all the fabulousness that Loews has to offer (he even helped us take a couple of pics… that you will be sure to see on my Instagram). Again another person I am happy to call my friend. Alex (SOAK staff), this girl is a hoot! She made our time at the SOAK cabanas (scroll down to learn more) an oh so enjoyable one. She was welcoming, funny and kind. Staff can completely make or break a hotel stay, Loews Miami has done the most incredible job and finding people that will make your stay a memorable one.

Room:

Holy moly, goodness me!! Did you guys see my instastory MTV cribs?? Our hotel room was one of the most incredible hotel rooms I have EVER stayed in. Located on the top floor (balling) was our ocean view king suite!. This place was fit for the Queen! I mean plush delicious bedding, a gorgeous bath tub with TV in the mirror (Amy and I totally took advantage of this one night, and enjoyed a glass of wine and a soak… we were wearing bikini’s! Get your mind out of the gutter), the most gorgeous blush pink couch that needs to be mine, and the biggest terrace ever, with views of Miami that I am so grateful I was able to witness. We spent both our evenings on this terrace dancing to top 40 tracks while skies produced the most epic sunsets. It was truly magical.

Amenities:

I told you this hotel had it all, the list of amenities this hotel has to offer is legitimately never ending. This beach front haven offers… a beach (duh) with private beds, business center, car rental, gym, pool and spa. For the purposes of keeping this review as short and sweet as possible (which is so hard I could talk about this place for days), I am going to focus my attention to where I spent most of my time… the pool and spa! Loews doesn’t just have a pool, I mean there is a pool with loungers around it, but if you were looking for something a little more glam… they offer SOAK. SOAK is a ‘private’ area of the pool. You are given the option of plush daybeds (which we did) which include: butler service, Jacuzzi, expanded food and drink menu, fruit cart, smoothies, and pampering. Or if you want to go all out there are the choice of two cabanas (normal or adult only… located in the heart of the pool area) these both include: butler service, Voss water and Evian mist, safe, Instagramable marble bathrooms, cable TV, iPad, climate control, reading material, Jacuzzi, ocean view sundeck, expanded food and drink menu, fruit cart, smoothies, pampering and two beach chairs. WOW! This is the ultimate way to spend the most epic weekend in Miami.

But when you’ve had too much sun, this is when you need the spa. Exhale spa! This is exactly what I did. After spending the morning in my office by the pool I treated myself to a little pamper session. Now I’ve had massages all over the world… England, Bali, Mexico, Canada, etc… but I have to say this was the most amazing spa experience to date! After being welcomed by the gorgeous spa staff I was taken into the changing room where I was able to lock away my belongings and slip into something a little more comfortable (provided soft robe and sandals), I was then showed into a quiet space, in this dimmed area where numerous plush couches (so soft that there were already two ladies fast asleep when I walked in) and infused waters… I spent a total of 5 minutes in this space clearing my mind of all my troubles… when my name was called for a massage I already felt relaxed AF! With the strain of travel and work laying heavily on my shoulders I opted for a deep tissue massage. My masseuse Karla Nole was so attentive to my body and the areas in which I carry my issues. Actually, funny story before I left for Miami I was carrying boxes of Tim Horton’s donuts and tripped resulting in me falling into the donuts and bruising my arm and legs… painful and embarrassing. Anyway, back to Karla, she was cautious to avoid those tender areas without me feeling like I didn’t have a full body massage. I can’t recommend the spa or Karla enough.

Food:

Loews offers a number of on location food options. They have their extensive room service menu (we enjoyed breakfast in bed way too times haha), Lure Fishbar, run by executive chef Josh Capon, this location offers delicious seafood and luxury… perfect date night location. Preston Market, perfect place to get a healthy and wholesome farm to table breakfast and on location cafe Miami Joe Coffee Co… sells scrumptious treats and eats, perfect for a on the go snack.

We left our two night stay at Loews Miami planning our return. Every single part of this hotel works in seamless harmony. It is a slice of heaven.
