Hydrating My Hair With Pantene’s New Nutrient Blends Baobab Collection

I partnered with Pantene to share my experience with the Pantene’s new Baobab collection. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

The DM’s have been flooded, what hair products do you use? How do you get your curls so hydrated? Wow! You have no idea how much this means to me. I have struggled with embracing my natural hair texture for most of my life. Always straightening my curls in a hope to be more accepted. It wasn’t until I became a Mum, knowing I wanted my daughter to love herself, that I took a hard look in the mirror and saw the things I needed to start loving about myself. My hair was top of the list. Since that day I have been on a journey, a hair journey, experimenting with different products that tick my strands demands. Hydrate, de-frizz, weightless. After kissing quite a few frogs, I finally found my Prince, Pantene’s new Nutrient Blends Baobab Collection, it ticks every single request and some.

Pantene’s Nutrient Blends Baobab Collection

I have been a lover of Pantene’s Nutrient Blends Collection for a while now. You might recall my love of their Rose Water Collection. When I found out that they had a new collection for all hair types that focused on hydration I knew my thirsty strands needed to give it a try. The Pantene Baobab Collection is suitable for all hair types, and is derived from the seeds of the Tanzanian Baobab tree, which have been used for centuries to treat skin issues, hydrate and elongate curls and protect skin and hair from the sun. It’s also sulfate free, paraben free, silicone free, and mineral oil-free, with a blend of pro vitamin B5, antioxidant and Baobab Essence… what a treat for my hair!

I kid you not as soon as I used this collection I noticed a difference in my hair, heck even Sameer noticed a difference… which is saying a lot! I normally give up on my frizzy, tangled, curls thinking they are too much work. But here’s the thing, my hair doesn’t have to be a tangled mess, and it doesn’t have to take a lot of work. After using Pantene’s full Baobab collection of shampoo, conditioner, and their secret hero, Thirsty Ends Milk-To-Water Serum, my hair was bouncy, glossy, and oh so hydrated.

My Step-By-Step Guide to Hydrated Curls

Step 1 – Wash hair with Pantene’s Hydrating Glow with Baobab Essence shampoo. This shampoo is a real treat, with a hydrating lather, and light botanical fragrance, my hair doesn’t feel stripped yet instantly hydrated. It’s like bringing a really expensive hair salon to the shower.

Step 2 – Following shampoo it’s conditioning time. I reach for Pantene’s Hydrating Glow with Baobab Essence Conditioner. I love the fact that it rinses clean, not leaving that heavy greasy residue feeling that I often get with other conditioners.

Step 3 – Using a microfiber towel or cotton t-shirt lightly scrunch curls to remove any excess water. Be sure not to use a regular towel.

Step 4 – Now it’s time for the hero of this routine, Pantene’s Hydrating Glow Thirsty Ends Milk-to-Water serum. I have been absolutely loooving this product. My go-to for quenching my dry hairs’ thirst, stopping that dreaded frizz, and smoothing my many split ends. I pump 1 pump into my palm, massaging it into my hand and watching as it turns from it’s milky texture to a weightless water, sooo satisfying. I apply this onto my entire head.

Step 5 – After a quick comb through my hair, I start finger coiling. Working my way from the bottom to the top of my head, I take a section at a time twisting my hair as close to the root as possible, then starting at my roots I use my index finger wrapping my hair around my finger gently pulling my finger and the coil down as I go. Creating literally the most perfect curl.

Step 6 – This step differs depending on how much time I have. If I have some time then I will let my hair air dry, otherwise I use my diffuser. When my hair is dry I gently pull apart my tight coils to create a full, bouncy, silky mane.

Step 7 – This is a relatively new step, but I like to finish this all off by adding another pump of that lovely Thirsty Ends Milk-to-Water serum. I just feel like it’s the perfect ending step to add a little extra hydration and shine.

Final Thoughts

This journey that I’m on, of embracing and accepting my natural hair has been an emotional one, one of fear, one of growth. It brings me such comfort that there are affordable products out there, like Pantene’s Baobab collection that have my back, that make my life easy, that brought me my confidence back, all while truly nourishing and supporting my hair. Thank you Pantene for helping to bring me back to me.

Pantene’s Nutrient Blends Hydrating Glow with Baobab Collection is the perfect hair care addition for all types of hair, from straight to curly and everything in between. Let me know what you think about the collection.
