Hello Heroes,
Filipa and I recently were invited to stay at the beautiful and iconic Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto and boy were we EXCITED! I mean come on, this is where the Queen of England stays. Oh and for those of you who don’t live in Ontario or haven’t a clue what I am saying, this luxury boutique hotel is a Toronto landmark. Its beauty and glory towers over Front St and exudes glamour and heritage.
Fairmont Gold
So the Fairmont Royal York recently revamped, renovated, and completely re-imagined their 18th floor, which is home to their Gold private reception desk, lounge, and complimentary breakfast/evening canapes. They also refurbished all their Gold rooms/suites which are located on floors 13-17 ( a bit more on that later on).
Gold Private Reception
When checking in simply skip by the lobby reception and head straight up to the 18th floor, where you are greeted by the amazing Gold staff (well not really gold), but glowing staff. This no hassle process makes getting to your room that much faster.
Gold Breakfast/Evening Canapes
Food, food, and more food. This is truly a breakfast of Champions! The Gold Breakfast is complimentary in your room rate and boy should not be missed. From A-Z and everything is between, they’ve got it and if they don’t just ask. The staff in the Gold lounge is so very attentive and love to make your visit that much more special.
Evenings Canapes anyone? After a long day exploring the city, why not grab a glass of wine and some special little bites to get your through to dinner. Not to mention taking in one awesome view of the city and lake. We just loved this space, we didn’t want to leave.
Gold Room and Suites
As I mentioned earlier, all the rooms from the 13-17 floors are reserved for Gold guests and they have all been given a new life and look. They are absolutely breathtaking. I just felt right at home. The marble bathrooms and walk-in shower were definitely a fav. They’ve also got this new aromatherapy shower, where you pop a capsule (provided) into the shower and you get this beautiful scent pumping through the shower. Fairmont Royal York is one of the first hotels in the world to have this tech. Pretty cool! And did I mention they have Le Labo products, who doesn’t love Le Labo.
The Rest
Now a part from the advantages of staying in the Gold section of the hotel, the Fairmont Royal York has done a huge revamp of the main lobby including a remodel of the restaurants and bars: Clockwork (the lobby bar) and Reign (restaurant). We had the pleasure of trying both of them out and boy are you in for a treat.
Reign offers modern Canadian cuisine with a French flair. You are bound to find something or 10 things you will love. Aside from the amazing food and drink, the decor is stunning. It’s modern and luxurious but super inviting.

After dinner we headed over Clockwork bar for cocktails, wow is all I have to say. There cocktail menu is crazy, so many choices and options, but ohh so yummy! The space is wonderful as well, being in the center of the lobby, you can just watch life pass you by.

All in all
All in all we had an amazing stay, we couldn’t have asked for anything more, except for maybe another night stay lol!!!! But I am sure Filipa and I will visit the Fairmont Royal York again.
