6 Most Instagrammable Places – Portland, OR

Hello Heroes,

Portland, what can I say, you were a real adventure. Only a few months ago Filipa and I were invited to visit Portland, OR. We’ve never visited Oregon before, so this was a real treat. Having some preconceived misconceptions about Portland prior to our trip, I was surprised to see it wasn’t just lumberjacks and hippies roaming the fertile roads. HAHA! Sorry Portland! But boy was I wrong.

When we arrived it was amazing to see the awesome mountain ranges only a short distance away. What a great city; from awesome coffee shops, craft beer, and a wide range of culinary options, they had it all.

After we got home we were so excited to go through all of our footage and decided to come up with a short list of Portland’s 6 Most Instagrammable Places.

Well here they are:

ONE

The International Rose Test Gardens are something one should not miss. With 4.5 acres of plants and roughly 700,000 visitors a year, you’ll definitely find the perfect spot for that touch of colour in your shots.

TWO

Next stop, the bookstore! What!, WHY?! Well this isn’t any normal bookstore, in fact it’s the world’s largest independent bookstore. If you can’t find it at Powell’s City of Books, then does it even exist? Started in 1971, this place has got nearly 4,000,000 new, used and rare books for sale.

THREE

Cathedral Park is another fav. Situated in North Portland, the park is home to St.Johns Bridge. What a beauty. The park actually got its name from the gorgeous gothic arches that support the bridge. Pack a picnic, a bottle of wine and enjoy the day.

FOUR

Now this might not be exactly an instagrammable place perhaps, but Voodoo Donuts is definitely a spot not to miss. Jeez, just look at this things, they’re humongous and ohhh so pretty! I may have a thing for donuts, if you couldn’t guess already. Grab a box of these bad boys, you will not be disappointed.

FIVE

The White Stag Sign is pretty much iconic Portland. Located near the Burnside Bridge, take a walk about 1/4 way across turn around and boom, snap a shot of this beauty.

And finally, the beautiful hotel we had the pleasure of staying in, Canopy Portland by Hilton. This place has some of the most incredible finishes we’ve seen in a hotel. I mean, just look at this place, it’s got me in all sorts of funny feels. Their lobby is absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful couches and artwork made by locals artists, grab a beer or coffee, chill out and snap away.
