The Line

Hello Loves,

As I sit inside my currently grey and gloomy home (yes it is raining again), I am reminiscing over happier times… My #staycation at the one the only The Line hotel. Now I am sure most of you know about this hotel, it is probably the most Instagrammed place to stay in LA right now. I have NO regrets. When I found out that I was going to LA for the first time ever, I know! Why did I wait so long? I knew exactly where I had to stay. I mean I had to check out the hype for myself… and boy am I ever glad I did. Our stay was so inviting, comfortable and most importantly Instagrammable… I never wanted to leave. I am sure after reading this, and looking at my 44 (yess 44!) images you will want to pack your bags and book a trip… and I will totally go with you!

LOCATION:

The Line Hotel, is located in Korea town. Now there has been a rather damaging history of Korea town after the Rodney King riots (I won’t go into a history lesson, but you can totally google). There is still a bit of a stigma against Korea town (I didn’t see any of this for myself), however with the help of places like The Line, Korea town is shaping up to be the it area of LA. It’s filed with some of the most amazing restaurants in town (a foodies paradise). It’s also pretty central, making it the perfect location to get to anywhere via bus, train, or car. 3515 wilshire blvd los angeles, ca 90010

RECEPTION

When you enter The Line, you are greeted by a wonderful airy open space. However upon closer inspection you are transported into the artistic and rather quirky world that The Line offers. In fact the whole ceiling of the reception area is covered in ombre dyed t-shirts!

Oh boy this room! It was more than I could ever ask for. Everything was so clean and bright. The quirky ‘Line‘ theme was most certainly carried on into here, from the little toy soldiers to room service being delivered in blankets… yes blankets haha! Oh and the beds… so deliciously comfortable, it was so hard to wake up. This view!!  I have seen the famous sign my whole life, waking up looking at it made my stay much more real… I had made it!

We were lucky enough to be given a tour of this stunning property. We were guided up to the top floor which houses the most beautiful suites.

FOOD

DSC03876 DSC03878 DSC03904 DSC03905 DSC03934 DSC03929 DSC03937 DSC03933

The food at The Line is a must try. All the restaurants are operated by Korean American chef Roy Choi, Sameer’s fav after watching him on Anthony Bourdains hit show ‘Parts Unknown’. Head to the Commissary, a beautiful green house sat right next to the pool, for breakfast/brunch. Grab a snack and delicious juice from Cafe. Then for dinner walk down to The Pot for a classic Korean meal with a twist.

GROUNDS:

DSC03888 DSC03891 DSC03893 DSC03901 DSC03896 DSC03900 DSC03894 DSC03898

The Line has some of the most beautiful grounds. Perfect for weddings and meetings and good old general fun. In fact Hello Kitty celebrated her 40th birthday here. So if you want to take a dip in their pool or throw a birthday bash for 100 of your best friends, The Line has the space for you.

NIGHTLIFE

DSC03908 DSC03914 DSC03915

Sorry for the crappy pictures, but I couldn’t leave this one out. This is Break Room 86. Walk through the ‘secret entrance’ to gain access and be transported into brothers Mark and Jonnie’s 80s time warp. Every inch of this space is covered in 80s memorabilia… I mean I don’t want to give too much away but that phone booth is more than just a phone booth. Hint hint.

If the 80s aren’t your thing also check out Pot lobby bar for some hip hop tunes… that place is popping.

PRIVATE PARTY ROOMS

DSC03917 DSC03918 DSC03921 DSC03922 DSC03928

If you have a group of friends that love to sing, then the karaoke private rooms are for you. In fact I had a good friend celebrate his birthday here last month, he said it was one of his best birthdays yet!

The Line hotel is full of wonder and adventure. I had such an incredible time and would like to thank all the members of staff who worked alongside me to create the most wonderful #staycation EVER. I will be back!

Interior of the room is amazing, also seeing the famous Hollywood signs from the room… How great it is! Line hotel looks different than other hotels, definitely some place to consider if I ever visit LA!

WOW! This place looks amazing, I love the quirkiness and overall concept! I mean, who would’ve thought to use tie dyed shirts as an accent ceiling!? You had such a great view, too, and I love layout of your room! I’ve never been to LA and I live in the states, yea, I know, a real shame, haha! I really need to visit! I’m even more intrigued that this place was featured on Anthony Bourdain’s show. I don’t recall it, but perhaps if I were to watch the episode again, I’d remember; I love his show! Thanks so much for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you’re having the best start to your week so far!
