It’s been a fabulous fashion week here in Toronto. I wanted to take the time to focus on what fashion week is really about. Fashion week is to showcase and celebrate talented local designers… so this is what I am going to do today.
Gavarcia is a haute couture brand developed by Garvin Garcia. Created with the mind frame that fantasy can live and mingle in the world of reality, this very new brand has been allowing itself to be inspired by a European way of design and construction when it comes to couture womenswear and bespoke garments. With the incredible addition of the award winning photography talents of Michelle Aristocrat signing on as Creative director, the identity of the brand will hopefully infiltrate a positive an traditional way of dressing and living to the city.
Gavarcia is looking for help in developing his pieces and is looking for pledges… he has created a kickstarter page:
So if you can give anything please do.
How lovely has this week been for all my little Torontonians? Finally Spring is upon us! I actually was able to step foot outside my house with just a sweater on… so I decided to go down to the lake and shout my goodbyes to Winter.

So everyone has heard of the little black dress, and although this is a must have item… I feel it’s a tad over rated, so this Spring I’m going to be rocking the little ‘white’ dress, in particular this stunning bodycon Narces ‘Dragonette’ dress.
I recently took a trip to my family’s condominium in Blue Mountain for the weekend. The weather was warm… enough, however I seemed to have under estimated the winds…
For some reason the winds were brutal, like pick you up and throw you in the lake… brutal. However it did equal a rather a funny lookbook.
The dress is a stretch knit, made with a blend of spandex and nylon, which results in a thick and heavy tight fit. It makes for some extra warmth and support, both were very much needed this day.
My Kate Spade purse is the absolute perfect size to hold basically… everything. It also comes with a shoulder strap which is a must use.
I have had a very intense relationship with my Nine West booties… they are very much loved. They remind me of the shoes in one of my fav kid movies… Little Princess.
I had such a lovely weekend in Blue Mountain, and my dress gave me the exact amount of femininity I was looking for.

I am so sick of this ‘winter’ weather… it’s March and I am dying for spring. Thank goodness for this absolutely STUNNING Narces ‘Sadie’ SS15 multi textural white dress, with delicate pearl details.
Narces a Toronto based fashion house, created by the talented Nikki Wirthensohn.
Narces specializes in making every girls dreams come true, their dresses are beyond beautiful.
Thanks to mother nature, it became a little too chilly. So I paired this dress with my fav… the turtle neck sweater, creating this winter/spring friendly ‘two piece’ ensemble.
With details of the dress being so delicate I kept my accessories simple, with a single ring and my DIY marabou feather clutch.
Due to the slush and snow still covering a majority of the street, open toe shoes were not a option. This booties gave the perfect amount of toe coverage.
The longer I spent outside, the colder I got unfortunately so another layer was added.
But this dress … this amazing dress made me feel amazing!
A staple in every girls closet.

After a fun filled weekend, I decided to take some time out in Toronto with my good friend from France… Justine.
Being Justine’s first time in Canada, and given her French heritage we decided to have lunch at Colette Grand Cafe.
Colette Grand Cafe is this perfect little French restaurant, located on Wellington St W. The decor of the cafe is absolutely stunning and the food is to die for… Justine approved.
I enjoyed the ‘Soupe Auc Champignons’, this is a delicious soup full of potatoes, leeks, pickled wild mushrooms, tarragon, enoki and truffle. I watered this down with a delicious Sloane ‘Rouge Provence’ tea which is a blend of red rooibos and french floral.
After our delightful lunch we decided to take a walk on Wellington St to get a closer look at the CN Tower… of course this also resulted in a mini photo session.
