If you read my previous post, (if not read here: http://www.playingwithapparel.com/?p=1035) about TOM*FW then you know I had an amazing time, there is such great talent in Toronto and TOM is an amazing platform to highlight them. I did have to sadly miss day 2 due to conflicting schedules, however with the power of social media I was able to view some of the amazing collections by:
- Venturist Commuter Wear
- Rank by Rani Kim
- Worth. by David C. Wigley
- HD Homme
So the last day of TOM brought some exceptional new trends… I do have a biased love for Christopher Bates and was blown away by his creations. He stayed true to himself, which is a talented tailor of suits and tuxes, but also introduced a new line of casual attire. My favorite moment was his reintroduction of the leather pant… I need every man to buy a pair!

My personal wardrobe for TOM*FW day 3 was clear… STAY WARM! I decided to pair an over sized polo neck sweater with a vintage coat and knee high boots… I was warm indeed (a little too warm under the lights of the cat walk)

Hello Loves… Happy March 1st!
Sunday, or as I and a million other people like to call ‘FUNDAY’, is finally here! It’s been a long and hectic, but amazingly fun week. I have spent my days at TOM*FW, styling for various outlets, and communicating with dozens of clients… All good productive stress.
But I have found the cure to rid myself of this worked up stress… Netflix! I have been glued to the abundant goodness that the Netflix has to offer, in fact some top 5 must watch picks are:
- Friends (no brainer)
- The Intouchables (one of my top fav French movies)
- Blue Is The Warmest Color (amazing French film… and naughty!)
- Belle (a hidden story, good historic movie)
- That 70s show (aaa memories)
However in between my Netflix meditation, I plan to be some what productive (for the morning at least)… To create and deliver more blog posts to fulfill your Playing With Apparel demand… your welcome!
So as I cuddle up with Coal, enjoy a cup of tea and crunch some left over candy canes… I let my imagination explore for inspiration.
Shirt: Zara Jeans: Rag & Bone
Enjoy your Sunday!
TOM*FW is finally here… the viewing of unique menswear and the celebration of their passionate Canadian designers.
Day 1 has begun, and it was sure not to disappoint… You can check out some images at: www.tomfw.com
I think my favourite show of the day had to be Garrison Bespoke, because who doesn’t love a man in a suit?
As for my clothing, it is still freezing cold in Toronto I made the conscious decision to dress for warmth, so I wore one of my trusty turtle neck sweaters (I literally live in them).
Sweater: H&M Shirt: Zara Jeans: Rag & Bone Shoes: Marc Jacobs
Rings: Left middle – Etsy Thumb cuffs – H&M Rectangle – Etsy
I did also wear a coat… I’m not that crazy!
FYI… I was unable to attend TOM*FW day 2 due to conflicting schedule 🙁
Today I decided to take a trip down to Barrie waterfront, in order to create this ootd post. Good idea? Nope not at all I was sure my fingers were all going to fall off.
Hope you are staying warm… I am now trying to!

So it has been beyond freezing cold here in Canada… I need cheering up… I need SPRING! This Ciaté mini manor nail polish is perfect to subdue my Winter blues, it’s called ‘Apple & Custard’… if the name isn’t just perfect then the colour will be sure to put some heat on your bones.
- Cute name
- Vibrant colour
- Fast drying
- Long Lasting
- 2-3 Coats (I used 3)
