New Years Resolutions

Hello Loves,

I hope you all had a fabulous New Years, and are fully recovered! I spent this weekend recovering from an amazing end to 2015 by binge watching the Netflix crime show ‘Making A Murderer’… is anyone else hooked? It’s addictive!

But anyway back to the blog… It wouldn’t be the start to a New Year without a good old New Years resolution post. At the start of each year I normally give myself five resolutions, however fail all of them within the first month. So to not set myself up for disaster I have narrowed it down to my top three quality resolutions.

Workout more:

Although this might be a a typical  resolution with the count down to my BEACH wedding ticking more rapidly than ever, getting myself not only physical but emotional shape is important. Unfortunately there is no magic pill for cellulite. After chatting with some friends they have convinced me to try out Yoga (I kinda hate Yoga, but it’s a fresh start and I’m happy to try) as this would be the best thing to prepare for the big day.

Socialize more:

Being out of school and working mainly from home in a brand new city makes it very easy to isolate myself from the world and everyone in it… which is not something I enjoy. I plan to break out of my shell and socialize more by joining various classes (this is where yoga also comes in handy) in my local area. I also plan to take advantage of this amazing network of bloggers and the friends that I have made on this journey… get ready for a number of amazing brunches blogger friends!

Eat clean:

In 2015 I shocked myself by sticking to my ‘vegetarian’ diet … I highlight the word vegetarian as to be honest I am not purely veg. From Monday – Saturday I am on a strict vegetarian diet but on Sundays I eat a meat dinner (fish or chicken). Although I slipped off the nutrition path during this Christmas time (I can’t say no to Mummy’s home cooking) I plan to jump right back on the clean eating bandwagon.

Do you have a New Years resolution? I would love to know what you have planned for 2016!

P.S how perfect would this sweater be for Valentines day?!… Pretty darn perfect if you ask me! Its so soft and can be dressed up with a cute skirt, or wear it like I did with a pair of jeans.

I love all your resolutions. I agree that I also need to try to socialize more myself. It is so easy to get stuck in your ways. I also need to eat better. I love your sweater. I agree that it is perfect for Valentine’s day. I wish you a wonderful 2016!

I am all for working out more as well! You should try to pair up with some buddies – you can combine your socializing and fitness goals in one go. Also, having accountability does wonders for motivating you to stick to your exercise goals. Yoga’s a great place to start! x

These are great resolutions! Now that I work from home, fitness classes have become more important than ever as a way to stay in shape and get out of the house. Definitely give yoga another try. It took a while for it to “click” for me, but it’s such a great workout. Good luck with your goals in the New Year!

i think these three goals are really good ones. I definitely want to try to actually start (and stick to!) a regular work out schedule! I am going to start with just once a week and then slowly try to introduce a second day as well into the week until I am finally working out 3 times a week. Once things become routine, they are no longer work, so hopefully it sticks! Love these photos of you as well – you look stunning and that smoothie looks amazing! Good luck with eating healthy and socializing more too!

Thanks Rae, I think that is a fantastic idea… it is easy to overdo working out and then you get upset quicker when you don’t see results as fast as you had hoped. I might take a page out of your book on this! Happy 2016 xxx
