FIGO

Hello Loves!

Life has been rather boring recently, I have been house bound working on various projects. My social life was becoming a distant memory *insert sad music. I knew I had to do something to get me out of this social oblivion!

After scrolling through the pages of Instagram for the twelfth time that day (we all do it… #noshame), I kept seeing the same thing! Was it a calling? The posts on Instagram showed the most decedent food I have ever seen, interiors only dreams are made of… what was this place? Where was this sanctuary? Hahaha… sorry getting a little dramatic now, but for real! I needed to know!

This piece of heaven was FIGO an new’ish’ Italian restaurant in the heart of Toronto. So I grabbed my phone and called my new blogger bestie, Darlene from The New Girl blog. Darlene was as excited as I was, and the next day WE WERE THERE! Now I’m not going to keep rambling, as I am going to let the pictures speak for themselves… but BOY was this place everything I had dreamed. The interior was a bloggers paradise… everything was just soooo perfect, clean and white! We did however arrive a little early… FIGO doesn’t serve dinner until 5pm we arrived at 4:30, although this did work out to our advantage as we had the whole place to ourselves #vipstatus (sorry rambling again!). Now the food… oh gosh the food! We decided to order a couple of different things, because sharing is caring and well I just wanted to try as much as possible. We ordered a honey ricotta, sliced rainbow trout, a bowl of gnocchi, the most delicious battered zucchini, to drink a Pimm’s Up (yes my British friends, very different to a Pimm’s cup, it’s a lot more bitter) and a FIGO cocktail. To our delight, not only was everything so delicious to the point where I haven’t stopped thinking about the way it tastes, and driving Sameer insane with stories of zucchini… the presentation was UNREAL.

Here just have a look for yourself, then book the next plane, train or automobile to Toronto.

We killed our meal, it was so filling there wasn’t even any room for dessert…. Darlene if your reading this, we have to go back for dessert haha.

If you plan to go to FIGO, which I highly recommend (obviously) well then 1. take me with you… please and thank you 2. book (reso) –  this place is a hot spot in Toronto and QUICKLY fills up.
